See how we helped BidClix
BidClix (now owned by Microsoft and incorporated into Microsoft Advertising) was an online advertising network with over 5,200 registered publishers and 10,400 registered advertisers. BidClix served approximately 1.1 billion ads per month, reaching an estimated 25 million individual consumers in the US and international markets.
BidClix was the first online advertising network to create a "self serve" system that allowed advertisers to create and manage their advertising campaigns and allowed publishers to manage their online advertising inventory through a web-based interface. Prior to this model other advertising networks which required an employee to manually perform all tasks on behalf of the advertiser or publisher. The "self serve" system is widely copied today, and has become the standard in the online advertising industry.
BidClix has specific high-end technological needs. To meet these needs we engineered their system for them which had high performance, high availability, fault tolerance, and to provide an ad serving system which can handle upwards of 1000 hits per second. It has sub-systems for fraud detection, early warning problem detection, health monitoring, self healing, optimization, quality control, accounting, reporting, and e-commerce.
